Viv Higher Education is a growing marketing agency specializing in higher education. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced freelance junior designer to join our dynamic team. Our work spans everything from social media , and banner ads for a single campaign, to full brand work that includes digital out of home assets, emails, web design, and more. We’re looking for a freelance Junior Designer to support our creative team by turning briefs into consistent, high-quality, on-brand deliverables at scale — with particular strength in web and motion graphics.
As a Junior Designer, the focus will be on collaborating with the team on concepts for clients and then executing the designed assets needed to bring their strategies to life. You’ll participate in collaborative concept development and be responsible for producing a high volume of assets quickly and accurately, working from provided templates, brand guidelines, and copy.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in concept development with full design team
- Create and version a large volume of static assets for digital and print (e.g., social media, web, email, display, and print collateral).
- Design and build web assets and landing page components, and produce motion graphics for social and digital placements (e.g., animated ads, short-form video content, GIFs/MP4s).
- Follow existing brand guidelines and templates to ensure consistency across all outputs.
- Incorporate feedback and edits with speed, precision, and attention to detail.
- Deliver organized, production-ready files that meet technical specifications.
- Work closely with the creative and project management teams to hit tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of production design experience, ideally within a creative agency or high-volume production environment.
- Strong, demonstrated skills in web design and motion graphics
- Proficiency with Figma and After Effects required; advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with Canva is a plus.
- Proven ability to work quickly and accurately on tight timelines, managing multiple projects at once.
- Solid understanding of digital and print production specs and formats.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and communicative, especially in a remote environment.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates range and attention to detail in web and motion work specifically.
Working Hours:
- We anticipate 15-20 hours per week.
- You will attend weekly Design Standup meeting [currently 10:15am Eastern] and Design Feedback meetings [can adjust timing to ensure works for all]
- Otherwise, flexible schedule, but must be available during key business hours (10am-5 EST) for team coordination.
