We're Hiring: Marketing Strategist

Viv Higher Education seeks a talented and motivated Marketing Strategist to join our dynamic team. Viv Higher Education is a Boston-based, full-service marketing agency and enrollment consulting firm. We work with clients across New England, the U.S., and international locations to strengthen their enrollment pipelines with strategic web, media, content, email, and analytics solutions. As a Marketing Strategist, you will play a key role in conceptualizing, executing, and optimizing cutting-edge higher education campaigns across various platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our efforts and make a meaningful impact on the sector.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience and skill level.


Responsibilities:

  • Media Campaign Execution and Copywriting: This role will support the media and content teams at Viv.  Assist in the end-to-end execution of digital ad campaigns, including search, display, paid social, and digital audio platforms, from concept to launch. Write copy for these platforms as well as websites, email, print, etc.
  • Account Management: Assist the lead account manager with client communications, attend client meetings, and participate in organizing tasks and next steps for all assigned clients.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with the team to manage significant ad spend across multiple accounts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and spend pacing alignment with client enrollment cycles.
  • Insights and Reporting: Provide ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance, analyzing key metrics and communicating findings to the team and client stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. An Advanced degree in digital marketing or a related field is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of in-platform experience on Google/Bing Search, and social media platforms (Meta, Twitter, TikTok, etc.) preferred. All relevant experience, including internships and freelance work, will be taken into consideration.
  • Experience building and monitoring digital marketing campaigns in-platform, including reporting to a team and additional stakeholders.
  • Experience in copywriting for multiple digital platforms (ads, websites, emails, etc.)
  • Desire to contribute in a client-facing capacity
  • Strategic thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical-thinking abilities, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment where individual time management is crucial
  • Desire to stay updated on higher education marketing best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation and maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • A team player with a self-starting attitude, open to feedback and coaching, and highly organized.
  • Higher Education marketing experience preferred
  • Must be located and fully authorized to work in the U.S. New England-based candidates strongly preferred.

  • 2025 individual rate: $487.50/month
  • 2025 individual with partner or family with kids rate: $983.33/month

All full-time employees of Viv Higher Education have access to a tax-advantaged retirement savings account. Our retirement benefit is managed through Guideline and includes a wide array of Vanguard funds and other low-cost providers. Viv matches up to 5% of employee contributions. 


Probationary Period:

This position is subject to a 90-day probationary period. During this time, performance, attendance, and overall fit within the organization will be evaluated. Successful completion of the probationary period does not guarantee continued employment, as employment remains at-will.
